The quality management of vis vitalis gmbh has implemented extensive measures to provide customers and consumers with products that comply with legal requirements and are 100% safe to use.
Audits
An important cornerstone of this is the regular performance of various audits. “The IFS audit, which is carried out annually, is the most important audit,” explains Anton Hlebaina, Head of Quality Assurance. IFS (International Featured Standard) is a comprehensive food standard with a detailed list of questions. In a two-and-a-half-day audit, it is verified and documented that these requirements are met. “I would like to mention that vis vitalis gmbh has always been able to complete the IFS audit with the ”higher level“ certificate for many years,” emphasizes Anton Hlebaina proudly.
Organic, halal, kosher…
At the customer’s request, we manufacture products that meet the criteria organic, halal, kosher, vegan/vegetarian. For these four categories, an annual audit is carried out at our premises by specialized certification bodies. Two audits per year are required for organic certification: one for the EU and one for the USA.
“In addition to a wide range of food supplements, we also manufacture a medical product in our production facilities. An annual audit in accordance with the EN ISO 13485 standard is carried out for both the production and distribution of the medical device,” explains the Head of Quality Assurance.
Quality and safety
In addition, a two-day internal audit is carried out once a year for both the food supplement and medical device categories.
Larger contract customers also carry out their own audits.
In addition, we ourselves are obliged to subject our suppliers (raw materials, outsourced production steps) to an audit following a risk-based selection.
